The home owners reached out to me after purchasing their townhouse from a developer. They realized that they couldn’t
possibly cope with the sheer amount of decision-making they were faced with, so sought the help of an interior designer. They loved the contemporary,
open-concept design of the unit, which also incorporated elements typically
classic New England homes, such as bay windows and architectural symmetry.

One of the design challenges of open spaces is creating harmony and balance between the various elements within the space. We achieved this by selecting a simple, neutral color scheme for the living space and adding accents of color with pillows, art, and other décor accessories. To emphasize the symmetry and unity
of the windows throughout the space we selected off-white Roman shades with decorative, dark-brown borders. The light-colored fabric allows light to penetrate, giving a light and
airy feel, while the dark border visually frames the windows to emphasize their shape and proportion.
