This two-bedroom condo in the
heart of Brookline was in need of a
complete remodel. The owners were moving to the West Coast and had decided to renovate and rent out their condo.
Renovating-to-rent often demands a different approach than renovating-to-live, and so the challenge was to make the most of a limited budget and to complete the remodeling within a relatively short time-frame.

One of the biggest challenges was designing a better layout for the kitchen without changing its footprint. By moving the entrance to another wall, adding more lighting and selecting light-color cabinets and backsplash,
we completely transformed the feel of the space. The
new kitchen layout is more open and provides greater freedom of movement.
We also selected a classic color scheme which we felt would appeal to future renters.
